Here are the highlights from the February 10 meeting of the CSU board of directors. Four members of the board were elected to attend the Northwest Student Leadership Conference as delegates on behalf of the Capilano Students Union. Six referendum questions were approved by the board to be voted on by the members of the Capilano Students Union on March 21, 22, and 23 in the CSU Members Centre (LB 195). Students are encouraged to vote and make their voices heard.
The plans for the third annual Rock the Boat party were approved. Two members of the student body were selected to sit on the librarian search committee, and the board agreed to endorse the ”Communities on the Move” declaration.
The board released $1,000 to fund a provincial election campaign to help educate students about voting. A set of procedures regarding club governance were also approved.
