Here are the highlights from the January 13 meeting of the CSU board of directors: CSU Pub Nights: Traffic Light Party was approved, to be held at Narrows Public House on Friday, February 10 at 9pm. The board released $3,000 from the budget to organize the annual board retreat held at Loon Lake.
Emily Solomon, the Capilano Students Union’s women’s liaison, was appointed by the board to represent the organization at the Capilano Alumni Association. The board also approved the second installment of the #adulting series, Life of the Party, to be held in the CSU Members Centre (LB 195) on January 30, from 4pm to 6pm. This event will feature a presentation on the fentanyl criss by an employee of the Portland Hotel Society, as well as a discussion on responsible drug use. Snacks and beverages to be provided.
