Here are the highlights from the July 14 meeting of the CSU board of directors.
The university is due to announce registration information for off-campus residences within the next week. The Capilano University’s student success committee is working alongside the CSU’s residence relationship committee to ensure the CSU is kept up-to-date in communication.
The CSU is in the process of reaching out to student leaders of CUBES (Capilano Undergraduate Business Enterprise of Students) in hopes of getting to know one another.
The SUDS (Student Union Development Summit), a conference to which the CSU has been sending board representatives for several years, was said to offer one of the best opportunities for professional development, executive training workshops, and networking with other student union representatives from across Canada. By unanimous consent, the representatives chosen to attend were women students liaison Katie Japaridze, global and community studies faculty representative Carmina Tioseco, and accessibility Justice coordinator Andrew Dillman.
