Community Resource Fair
11:00 – 1:30 in the CSU Members Centre (LB 195)
Come explore a variety of resources available to LGBTQIA+ students with all interests and backgrounds: whether you are looking for new activities, want to meet new people, or learn something new, a diverse collection of organizations will be around to answer all your questions! Stick around for some free snacks and swag!

Allyship 101: Workshop
11:30 – 1:00 in the CSU Maple Lounge (MA 115)
Facilitated by members of the Capilano Queer Collective, this workshop explores the frequently asked question: How can I be a good ally to the queer community? Learn about the importance of intersectionality and allyship with engaging facilitators Nikki West and Sabrina Skotnitsky.

Cozy Queer Coffeehouse
5:00 – 7:30 in the CSU Members Centre (LB 195)
Everyone is welcome to attend our Tuesday evening open mic night in the cozy CSU Members Centre! The theme is COZY: PJ’s, pillows, blankets, and onesies are highly encouraged. Whether you are a professional musician, a dabbler in the art of spoken word, or really good at lip syncing, come share your talents on our welcoming stage! A mic and amp will be provided, simply sign up to perform upon arrival! For performers and non-performers alike, there will drinks & snacks available. All ages are welcome!

Student Film Festival
12:00 – 1:30 in the CSU Members Centre (LB 195)
Our film fest will feature films made by students of Capilano’s Motion Picture Arts program. These films will feature content or themes of/relating to the LGBTQIA+ community. Enjoy complimentary popcorn while celebrating the work of our Film students! Stick around the Members Centre to enjoy Watch-It Wednesday at 2pm.

Thursday, March 16

Chatlive: Queer Perspectives
11:30 – 12:30 in LB 188
Join members of the campus community to discuss current pressing issues of representation and reconciliation in the queer community. This workshop will also include the screening of several short films to encourage conversation. Facilitated by Ki Wight and fellow faculty members.

Formally Queer: Pride Week Party!
7:00 – 10:00 at Groundswell: 566 Powell St. Vancouver, BC
Come celebrate the end of Pride Week with us at Groundswell! This event will feature music, dancing, drinks, snacks, mingling and more! The theme is FORMAL: whatever “formal” means to you. The societal constraints of gender “norms” or “conventions” are not invited to our party – wear whatever you want! Tickets can be purchased on campus for $5 in advance and $7 at the door; however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. As well, this is an all-ages and inclusive event: everyone is welcome!
