WHO WE ARE
The Environmental Justice Collective operates on unceded Coast Salish Territories. We are a group of students who aim to expose and challenge oppressive systems that perpetuate climate change. The collective works to create a more sustainable campus and to build a strong environmental justice movement.
WHAT WE DO
Over the last two years the Environmental Justice Collective has worked on campaigns that focus on campus sustainability initiatives as well as building a broader environmental movement. The collective has organized and attended a wide range of events and campaigns both on and off campus. Such events and campaigns include Defend the Coast, Rising Tide Noise Demo, UberDrop, Spotlight Earth CapU, Storm the Riding, Shit Harper Did Comedy Tour, Creative Actions Workshops, PowerShift Victoria, Defend our Climate Defend our Communities, Beyond Boarding Film Screenings, Concert4Change and the Unist’ot’en Action Camp (see below for videos from some of these events).
