The Capilano Students’ Union board of directors is comprised of different elected students who act as the representatives of their respective constituencies and committees, along with students elected to the university board of governors and senate. In turn, these committees direct the work of the directors.
Aside from the directors, each committee is comprised of interested members-at-large (students of the university – that’s you!). Members may sit on any committee, with the exception of constituency groups where there is limited membership.
Constituency groups consist only of any self-identifying members of that particular constituency (international students, queer students, students of colour, students with disabilities, women students, and First Nations students). Most committees meet weekly to work on projects that they set out for themselves. In addition, the Board of Directors strikes ad-hoc committees to work on specific issues.
