About the Award

The CSU Engagement Award was established in 2015 to support students who are engaged in their communities and have demonstrated leadership and commitment to social justice. The award is open to all Capilano University students, including international students, and provides up to $2,000 in financial support.

The CSU Equity Leadership Award was established in 2021 to support students who are leading efforts toward equity and diversity in the Capilano University community. The award is open to all Capilano University students, including international students, and provides up to $2,500 in financial support.

CSU Support Funds

About the Awards

The CSU has various support funds that provide emergency funding for any student who experiences financial hardship in paying for neccessary expenses such as food, shelter, and textbooks.

Scholarships

Student Loans

Student loans are available publicly and privately to cover cost of tuition, books, and other education-related expenses. Loans and grants offered by the Canadian or provincial governments are only available to Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, and Landed Immigrants. There is no interest on the federal portion of Canada student loans and interest rates on the provincial portion vary by province and territory. International students may be able to contact a student loan provider in their home country for information about the loan options that may be available. Private student loans are available to both domestic and international students, though they are almost always subject to higher interest rates.
