Our Community Cupboard food bank program provides free non-perishable food for students in need. Located at the North Vancouver campus in the CSU Library Lounge (Library 195), you’ll find the green cupboard labeled Community Cupboard. Feel free to take what you need, while also considering others. If you require further assistance, you can apply for a grocery store gift card.
In cooperation with CapU Student Services, the CSU periodically offers fresh fruits and vegetables as part of the Pop-Up Produce program. Keep an eye on CSU social media for the next event!
Our food hamper program provides free, customizable food bags for students in need. To apply for a food hamper please fill out this form and allow up to two business days for a response letting you know how to pick up your bag.
The CSU’s Free Money Hub is a guide to the various types of financial aid available to students, including emergency bursaries applications that can be processed in one to two days.
In 2021, CSU developed a food security strategy to address student and family food insecurity, including recommendations for on-campus support, community involvement, and monitoring.
